John Smith Enhanced Her Career And Academic Prospects
With A Degree From Northeast Alabama University
Working mother John Smith was determined to complete her bachelor's
degree while raising four children. Prior to enrolling at Northeast Alabama
University, John Smith was forced to move frequently due to her job as
a construction contractor. She had taken classes at several colleges,
but had yet to finish her degree. Because of the hectic job
requirements, her husband asked her to find a suitable job at her home
New Castle, Delaware. Knowing she had no option, she quit her job hoping
she would be quickly able to find a relevant job. However, she was
utterly disappointed when she found out that despite her experience she
was unable to secure a reputable position because she had no college
degree. As her husband began taking classes in the evening, John also
wanted to return to school, but it seemed impossible because of her job
and the four children to take care of at home. And since her husband
used to study in the evening, one of them had to be home. A traditional
program was not feasible for John, but the online program seemed a
perfect fit for her.
She started searching for online universities offering online bachelor
programs. She wanted to pick the one that offered an accredited program
at an affordable tuition fee. She was also keen on getting a degree as
quickly as possible. A friend, who had recently graduated from Northern
Port University, recommended it to her. Upon going through Northern
Port's website she came to know their bachelor's program was not only
accredited and affordable, but also quick, allowing her to earn her
degree within a period of two years.
Excited, she called up the student consultant to know more details about
the university. Below is a set of key questions she asked the
consultant.
1. Is the program accredited?
John was most concerned about the accreditation of the program. She
did not want to invest time in a program which would not help in her
career progression. The consultant told her the program was accredited
by UAC (Universal Accreditation Council). Accreditation from UAC is
proof that Northeast Alabama University is providing quality education and
that its study programs are accepted globally.
2. How quickly can I finish my program?
John had read on the site that she could finish her entire program in
two years. She wanted to know if there was a possibility that she could
finish it earlier. The consultant assured her that she could finish her
program as soon as she wanted, depending upon her own pace and
availability of time. Also, since she had previous college experience
the university would transfer her credits and reduce the same from her
program. This would help her finish her program earlier than expected.
3. Will it be possible for me to receive a deduction in my tuition?
There were several fee reduction options available through which she
could reduce her fees considerably, such as credit transfer, scholarship
and prior learning. The consultant asked her to apply for all three at
the time of admission and, if considered eligible, she could complete
her entire program for as much as $1699.
Satisfied with the consultant's assurances, she decided to enroll at
Northeast Alabama's program immediately. As promised, she got a scholarship
and credit transfer for three courses. Also, her first course fee and
admission fee were also waived, allowing her to pay a reduced fee of $
1599.00 from a whopping $14,400.
As soon as she paid her admission and enrollment fees, she became a
student of Northeast Alabama University. Her online classroom was
activated, which allowed her to study the courses and take exams
simultaneously. She appreciated the flexibility of the classrooms; she
could attend them at any time of the day. Also, she was given access to
personalized student area from which she could pay her fees, manage her
courses and request additional student services.
Because of the flexibility and easy-to-use online classrooms, she was
able to finish her program in fourteen months. Soon after she received
her degree, she switched her job through Northeast Alabama career placement
services. she was now working as a customer relationship manager in a
bank at her home town. This allowed her to spend more and more time with
her family. John is extremely thankful to Northeast Alabama for helping
her not only get a degree, but also enter her professional life again.
She has now enrolled for a master's degree at Northeast Alabama and hopes to
complete in less than a year! She recommends Northeast Alabama University
to everyone wishing to earn a university degree to enhance their career
and academic prospects.
